What will you be remembered for?

Have a watch of this heartwarming short film and share the joy with us of providing widow Mama Olepa and her children with a new home for just £750 – a total game-changer for her family’s future. I love it!
You have probably sung the song How Great Thou Art! It was written by a little-known British missionary, Stuart Hine, who served in Ukraine, Poland and Romania. Years later, it exploded in popularity, was sung at Billy Graham crusades and covered by Elvis Presley. As the royalties began streaming in, Stuart looked beyond the financial windfall and set up a charitable trust to direct it all to Christian ministry. It has now given over £6 million towards Kingdom work!
Like Stuart Hine, I long to look beyond today and live with eternity in mind, making the best use of every opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. Hopefully neither of us will die anytime soon, but have you considered what legacy you will leave?
Will you be able to look back on your life and know you pursued things that really mattered?
Your answer to this question will most definitely affect how you choose to live today.
I love the fact that GLO’s work totally transforms lives for generations to come in Burundi, as with Mama Olepa and her precious children. Leaving a Will is an opportunity to close out our earthly legacy, and around half of us in the UK have not made one, so this post is a gentle nudge in the hope that you might like to join me in leaving a gift to GLO in your Will.
Just imagine what God could do for Burundi if all of our supporters gave just a small percentage to GLO in our Wills!
Click through above for furher details on legacy giving, but most importantly, I hope this is a spur to your wrestling with those big questions about how to make our lives count for eternity. Let’s leave a lasting legacy, in every sense, for the Kingdom!
